Rep Power: 0 | Barter? I'll try to keep this simple. I'm a single dad with no family locally. I had a client offer to babysit for tanning services. I would love to do this. a little voice is telling me to seek the advice of others before I do. So, what is it that I need to know? |

They let me put signs there and don't mow them over, so that is nice of them. I know she likes to sing. She says she is past the third round of auditions for "The X Factor". Waiting for callback. I guess that's all. I am in a relatively small town of less than 10,000 people, but in an area just outside of a larger town of about 250,000. |

I am a single dad, and have no local family, so babysitters are in short supply for me. I would normally pay a babaysitter $4-$5 per hour. She is willing to receive that in credit for tanning services at the salon. This was her idea. It's not really complicated. She is willing to do occassional babysitting for my son, in my home, in exchange for tanning services provided at my salon. This is no different than if I was going to fix your computer if you mow my lawn. It's simple bartering of services. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Barter? I would for sure take her up on her offer. I own a gym/tanning center. I have a girl that teaches aerobics classes in exchange for free tanning. After customers come in and you get to know them they become friends or almost like family. If your comfortable my all means allow her to babysit. Good Luck. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Barter? I love to barter as long as both parties are happy with the agreement! I barter tanning with other local businesses often, even for some of my advertising! Frankly, I feel I'm getting the better deal in most cases, but when they come to me with an offer and we both see the benefit, what's the problem? |
