Trouble Shooting a Ultrasun Solarwind 5000...

Just bought and ultrasun solarwind 5k.

I unhooked it and it was running when it was taken apart.

I've reconnected all of the connectors to the same point, and reconnected 2 hots and a ground to the unit (running in single phase, no neuteral as there wasn't one when I disconnected it).

There are no lights to the screen, however power is definitley getting to the machine.

I did have another guy with me when disconnecting it so I'm wondering if there was a harness for the control panel I missed hooking back in?

I've re-hooked the two main harness wires that connect to the canopy, as well as the fan wire, and bench harness to the main balast trays.

Any suggestions?

Is the bed t-max ready ? You may need a cheater or actually hook it to a timer. I would also re-check top to bottom cables, Also if the end caps were removed re-check that wiring.

The bed is tmax ready and I hooked it up the same way I did on the utlrasun standup I bought. The tmax knows its connected to a bed, but the bed isn't even lighting up inside on the number dial. Usually the red lights onthe display will turn on indicating the bed has power even when the tmax is not hooked up.

Any other ideas?

Check the overheat switches. Theres one in the top and the bottom at the foot end. The one on the bottom is easy to see. Raise the bottom acrylic and it is in the center of the bed about 2 inches from the lamps end and has 2 wires running to it. If one of those is loose or has fallen off, the bed will be dead.

The one at the top is harder to get to. Remove the top cover with allen wrench and it is at the center of the foot end about 2" from the lamps as well.

It is there to turn the bed off if it overheats.

Other than that, go through and check for loose wires or wires that may not be making good contact after the move.

There may be a fuse in the control panel But I think it is just for the fan if my memory is correct.

What do these pieces look like? Are they on an L bracket with a blue circular piece with two metal prongs coming out of them? The prongs look as if a wire is to be connected, but I don't see one anywhere that fits up to this.

Yes, they are on an L bracket and they have two wires going to them. Theres one in the bottom and one in the top. At least the ones I've seen are this way. We have 3 and they are 2 different year models. If you can see it on the L bracket and there are no wires going to it, they are either down in the bottom of the bed or someone has jumped them out someplace to keep them from kicking the bed off when it got hot. Which would be really dangerous.

Any idea on where the wires feed to? Is it a relay down on the balast tray?

I've never followed the wire. I've replaced the sensor but never really looked at where it goes too. I would assume it would pass thru the relays on the bottom tray. Do you have a wiring diagram? If I don't forget I will look at one of mine tonight and see if I can help u out.
