Current Salon adding Spa & Salon Services

Hello,
I need someone who knows what are the best spa & salon services to focus on an extension of my current business. For example facials, microderm abrasion, massage, make-up application ect. What are the big money makers to have my esteticians concentrate on providing? Thanks for you expertise

I'v never had any luke supporting an estetician, massage,or nails in my salon. Stay focused and watch where you put your money!!
I keep my money in hair and tanning.

I had a tanning salon and added spa services. They never caught on. I thought it was a fantastic idea, but no one wanted to come to a tanning salon for those things. Plus there are spas on every corner specializing in them.

Also salons are noisy, so you would need an enclosed room for spa services.

I tried massage therapy and wanted to pull out my hair so after 1.5 years I pulled it out! It was a nightmare to do the scheduling and work with most of the therapists. I do take some of the blame when it came to advertising it and everything I could have done more, but the catch was I was nervous the therapists wouldn't show up and it was such a pain as most of the therapists had other regular jobs and just did it on the side - My advice if you are going to do it- do it 110% when it comes to hiring help & advertising or it will never be worth it- the whole independent contractor thing is great when it comes to taxes & not paying someone to do nothing when you aren't busy- BUT, realize you will have the scheduling nightmare if they are independent contractors. Hope this helps! Best of luck and whichever way you go!
