T-Max Manager Necessary?

I am opening my 2nd salon and I've been wondering about this. If I have 1 person working and they have to go clean the bed anyway, is it really necessary to buy a T-Max Manager? After they clean the bed they should reset the timer on the bed and go back to the desk. Wouldn't the front desk control just give them an excuse not to clean the bed and reset the timer from the desk? What do you think?

YOU MUST NOT be very busy to come up with a stupid question like that. Does your no. 1 salon not have a t-max manager? You know that the manager does more then just let you know a bed is dirty. Get real or get lost.

I know it does more than that but if the person at the desk has to go in the room to clean the bed anyway why not just reset the timer and save the $. Sorry to have offended you so much with my question.

Re: T-Max Manager Necessary?

Not sure how things work where you're at but we have to be able to remotely send the time to the beds plus the manager is needed to interface with the POS system. We cannot set the times in the rooms.

HOW MEAN AND RUDE! He was just asking a question! Geez no need to be so mean!

To answer your question, we have 1 small salon that doesnt have a tmax we manually adjust the time. This salon is VERY VERY small (3 beds) we dont recommend doing it this way and wouldnt ever do it like this in our bigger salon due to employees being able to put people in beds without going through the computer which can bring in a ton of problems (tanning friends for free, tanning customers but pocketing the cash, also customers could reset the time and add a few min. and in turn burn and blame your salon for putting them in to long)

Re: T-Max Manager Necessary?

Is this a real question??? The Manager is required for computer interface. It is also required to facilitate lockout of the in room timers so customers cannot set their own times. This is pretty much required by insurance companies and regulated states.

Unless you will be opening Ghetto Tans Fried Chicken Day Care and Bait Shop® you should probably consider one.

Re: T-Max Manager Necessary?

P.S. If saving five hundred bucks is the necessary make or break in opening a business then you probably shouldn't open one.

Who needs a manager.....Get some wind up wall timers and call it a day. While you're at it bag the cash register and get a shoe box. Now that I'm thinking about it bag the tanning beds and get some lounge chairs and open up your roof!

Re: T-Max Manager Necessary?

I'll say it again, what a stupid question. Sorry for being so short, but I just get frustrated with dealing with all these trunk slammers on here.
