Recently two bills one in the House and one in the Senate were introduced that seriously affect the Washington State Indoor Tanning Industry.



The first link below will take you directly to the Washington State Indoor Tanning Council Site… Here you can review the bills… It is most important that you look first at the House Bill… It has passed through to the rules committee. Please take a look at this list and contact your district representative about this bill. There is a script loaded on the site that you can use as a guide for what to communicate to the rep once you get them on the line… Please make sure that you get them on the line or leave a message with their aide… It is essential that your voice be heard!

The second link takes you directly to a petition format that you can use in your salon… Again have your employees and clients sign the petition… Please work as hard as you can to get 100 signatures per day. Once you hit 100 signatures please contact us or email into the council so that your petition can be noted for your district!!

Please remember that if the house bill passes as it stands now Washington State will have a teen tan ban under 18.

Just saw the news talking about the same thing in Louisiana, i just caught the end of it but i think i heard that American Medical Accociation was pushing this hard. How much of your buisness would you loose if this happens? It would suck here in louisiana.
