Rep Power: 22 | Tan tax! Since this is the first busy season with the tan tax i didnt really think about how large that check will be for the first quarter. It will make me sick. Outside of rent it will be the largest check I ever write. |

Rep Power: 22 | Re: Tan tax! I'm with ya on that. I just checked my tax numbers and it makes me sick that I have to give the feds that much money; and we've still got over a month to go. Granted, we collect this tax from the customer, but it still sucks. Too bad this "tan tax" is written in stone, and it is a givin' that it won't be repealed. |

Rep Power: 24 | Re: Tan tax! For those who think the tan tax doesn't hurt business, just think, that's money that your customers can't spend on lotions or upgrades, nor can they spend it in your community at restaurants, movies, stores, etc. I don't see Washington sending any of that money back to my home town, seen any come back to yours? |

Rep Power: 14 | Re: Tan tax! Forget the tan tax (it is here to stay). I'd be more concerned w/high gas prices. Folks will re-think their unnecessary trips/stops. In Atlanta, at a local Shell Station, it was @ $3.42 a gal/reg $3.75 premium. And no end in sight with predictions going over $4 by summer. March-June are typical gas price increase months due to spring-summer travels |

Rep Power: 22 | Re: Tan tax! Those hundreds of new IRS agents, Obama is trying to hire haven't been hired yet; Congress won't approve funding. Don't worry about audits anymore now, then in the past. Besides, when they get their big tan tax checks from us in April, they'll be pacified for awhile. They have enough on their plate, without worrying about tanning salons, and our honesty. |
