What do you think of SonnenBraune Klassic series 732 - tanTALK

I am interested in a SonnenBraune Klassic series 732. I am thinking of buying one used for my salon. Would be interested in peoples opinions and experiences with this bed.

SonnenBraune always offered good equipment. The 732 was a popular base bed in its time. As you may know, the company abruptly closed down without warning about 7 years ago. Parts are still available thru Heartland/Atlanta.

That being said, it depends on the age/# hourrs. I would gues it is about 12 years old. What are you paying for it? Anything over a $1,000 would be, IMO, overkill.

What other beds will it be used with?

they are asking 1500 but i have not contacted them yet, thought about making an offer of $750. I have 3 mega sun max, 2 sunstar32, 1 sun capsule stand up, 1 other 32 lamp bed. All beds are level 1 except stand up.

I'd be more concerned with finding more of a high perfomer. What is a 'mega sun max'?

How many lamps/VHR??? The beds you have seem to be low performers. With 2 Sunstar 32's, you don't need a klassic, at leat IMO. You say 'all level 1's'. Why are you not offering separate levels?
Is this salon in operation, is all tanning or a gym with beds?

You need some separation in offerings.

yeah, $1500 would be too much. You could get better. Are you operating now, or just planning to open and these are your level one beds already purchased? I would change gears and start adding some upgrades. I can't see how you can compete with all one level beds.

The mega suns are 32 lamp vhr beds. I am video store with tanning in a small town that is very price sensitive. We already have the highest prices in town.

Are these 'mega suns' made by TanSystems?

If so, good beds with 160's top and bottom, 3 500w facials, should be your top level, based on the beds present. Why are you refering to them as your level ones?

If these are the Mega Suns with 100w lamps, then they are NOT VHR.

Are all your beds 100w lampers? Even being in a small town with price sensitvity, there should be at least another level of progression. You could bring in more revenue and still remain price competitive.

I honestly think bringing in another 100w bed is a complete waste.

I had 732/3 with the facials , and then i added 735/3 which i guess replaced the 732/3. I have four 735/3 . im not sure if the sonnen bed youre inquiring about has facial tanners. I am happy with the tanning results, and besides pistons that need to be replaced over time that hold the canopy up, they have been very reliable beds.
