An iBeach franchise fee of $7500 and verbally told I can get started for $35,000 I would buy 50 locations. If it's to good to be true....well, you know the rest. Lifeguard |

Just yesterday I went to another 24/7 that opened up on a side of town I hardly visit..went to drop off a package @ a UPS store I passed, noticed a 24/7 that opened within year... Had the set-up explained to me as I pretended to be an interested prospect..to enter, swipe a card at front door...terminal on counter to log self in,select bed and time..password activated, excepts password once every 24hrs..lotions behind locked glass displays, only opened during day, so better bring lotion if you use..salon is manned about 12/7...everyone expected to clean bed after use while salon is unmanned...any complaints from next user, and last user is 'locked' out from salon in future..was told, everyone seems to comply...lot protected at night, next door is a major 24/7 grocery chain, good activity at night..don't know how many use in 'wee' hours, but attendant said they have a lot of monthly users that find it convienent...nice beds/mix of KBL/Heartland/Ergo...prices VERY cheap, range $9-$13 for walk-in..and this is located in a nice area of surburb Atlanta...I was impressed..place was clean..saw nothing wrong with it..this is one of three they own, so got impression they are privately owned...the concept is popular and growing here... I would imagine the cost to 'convert' is relatively inexpensive. All is needed are security cameras in lobby, which everyone usually has in place already..only additional exxpense I see is new software which can't cost more than a few hundred, new lock on front door and enough key-cards...and locked displays, which most already have...doing this the franchise route may be more $$, but anything with 'franchise' added is.. |

Who actually said no on the ergo stuff, was it ergoline's leasing company or did IBeach say don't bother with ergo. I guess that I am just wondering if ergo was unable to finance beds for you due to strict loan stipulations and Ibeach was nice in suggesting a different manufacturer with looser loan requirements. I would like to think that Ibeach could demonstrate to Ergo's leasing company that its' franchisees are good credit risks- but maybe they have no influence on Ergo. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: I Beach Tan w/ 24/7 concept tanning I have looked at converting. I don't get what everyone is so "beware" about? If you can't get financing because "your" credentials are not good enough, who's fault is that? I love how everyone always plays the blame game and can't ever step up and face reality. I have talked to several franchisees of iBeach and the majority of them are happy and are even opening more locations. Those of you that are calling out the "scam" and "beware" did you buy into the franchise and couldn't get financed? |
