Is anyone planning on attending Smart Tan in Nashville? Or has anyone ever attended one of those events?

We have been in the past when it was co-oped with the ITA. They really were great for learning. Have not been in 3 years though with money and time being so tight. Plus, we are bored stiff with Nashville venue and really wish they would just once come closer to the mid-west.

Unless I am looking to buy new equipment I really don't go anymore.

Not sure what the crowd size will be like this year?

Thanks Crystal. We were considering going so we could aquire more knowledge on marketing, sales techniques etc.. We need to learn as much as possible. I am literally online everyday trying to learn as much as I can about pretty much anything.

we purchased a salon last October and went to the Nashville conference last year and I thought it was great. We split up on the classes so we could learn as much as possible.

It was great to see all of the equipment and look at some of the lotions we never used before.

We went to the Vegas show in June but there was so much more at the Nashville conference. we are already booked and I heard that some of the hotels are filling up so if you are planning on going you might want to book your room right away.

I opened my first salon this past Nov 2009. I attended the Nashville conf. just before in Oct and the connections I made have been very valuable. I mingled with owners & distributors, got certified on premises and saved myself a lot of wasted time & money. It's a yes for new salon owners and I will be attending this year as well for more pointers.

Thanks for the input. I think we will probably attend. We weren't sure, but if it has been that helpful for everyone else it should benefit us as well.

If you are new in the industry it is a plus for you. I have attended the shows for 20 years now. Chicago, Las Vegas, Nashville, Atlanta, Fl, Cancun, etc. The show last year was great. The show this year will be the same. They moved the venue downtown and that has made a world of difference. Everything is right there.

Matt Russell did a great job last year. (Smart Tan) The problem was not so much Nashville as it was Opryland. The place is too expensive and too big. Don`t get me wrong it is nice but after a few years it got old.

Last year was my first year going to Nashville and I thought it was very beneficial. I get a lot out of the various training sessions.

FYI- At this time the Rennaisance hotel is completely sold out. I just got a room at the Sheraton 2 blocks away. Smart Tan has room blocks there and the Double Tree. If you think you might go, book your room now!

Nashville is by far the best show...they offer great training and seminars! I will be taking all of my full time employees this year! It is soo beneficial to make them better at everything!
