I'm new to the business if that isn't obvious. We just opened our salon May 15th. So far our customers have just asked if we are raising our prices in response and we've been assuring them that our prices are not increasing and the raise in their bill does not come from the salon but rather from the Feds. They all seem to understand this and accept it. I'm just personally confused about what my computer system now needs to have as a total tax. |

I just dont feel I should have to do it unless officially notified and especially when there is still "talk" about changes. I use Helios software and the change is already made and will show a separate breakout on the receipt to show this new tax |

But I got another email today that says to shut down tonight for the update to download. Maybe a repeat for me but I will do it--just hope my reboot works fine in the morning and Im not "frozen"--have a lot of spray tan business to attend to with the holiday and I need my credit card machine to work!! |

Rep Power: 22 | Re: TAN TAX exclusivetan1---Did you say in a prior post that the state of ND charges you a 7% tax on tanning, and also product? My God, if this is true, 17% will surely do what the government intends, and get rid of tanning as we know it. |
