Rep Power: 23 | Client says she cancelled eft...Arbitration? This could be a lenghtly story...but wondering if any of you have had a client did a charge back to your account for a eft that they said they cancelled...which they did - but there is a 30day wait period and that last payment completed their contract. I provided the info back to my processer and the money was redeposited in my account...Now the client has started arbitration with VISA..what that means is if I want to fight her and Visa decides that she didnt have to pay me that I pay $500 for losing and have it go to arbitration. That last payment is contracted and owed to me, it declined 2 months prior to it clearing her bank for payment and then her package was cancelled. I didnt charge her the late fee...but she did owe me the money...I am just wondering if anyone has had a charge go to arbitration and what was the outcome. Thanks for any info Shari |

Our EFT debits on the 1st of each month, and as long as they come in and sign a cancellation form by the 30th (or 31st depending on the month), they won't be debited again. I think that saves us from having a lot of angry clients. They can cancel at any time. Super easy and fair.

Re: Client says she cancelled eft...Arbitration? We are the same as Wendy. But, scrap the credit card route...they are advocates for customers. Either go the collections route (which in this current economy HURTS to have bad credit) or small claims court. You will win if she signed a solid contract. Otherwise, on;y choice is to let it go and ban her for life. | |
