Re: getting fingerprints off black metal beds!!

I have a similar issue with an Ovation bed from Heartland- mines white.

I can't remember who told me but they said that my unit may not have been powder coated like most.

Furniture polish, stainless steel cleaner, WD-40, car wax.

When you use wax, sprinkle some corn starch on it and buff off. It will be swiril free.

Re: getting fingerprints off black metal beds!!

Thanks brian, I was worried about the wd-40 and stainless steel cleaner oxidizing my paint. but i will try it now.. and DB I hope if they have a powder coat application that Heartland better use them on all their beds and not make it an option..lol

Re: getting fingerprints off black metal beds!!

Most all beds are painted, not powder coated. Use a coat of car wax to protect against tingle lotions from stripping the paint off. Tingles tend to bubble the paint up over time.
