Is there a correct process for handling the glasses. I know the bulbs are not to be touched buy your hands. I was going to clean the rest of the panels. They are dusty.
does anyone have a manual they can sell me for the bed.
I found out who broke the glass today. Electrician with a piece of conduit.

Does anyone know how to get a hold of ultra sun.
I have left messages with everyone of there sales people. with no call backs.

Re: Ultra Sun solarwind 5000 parts

I too have a broken glass shield today. As I took the bed apart ours was caused by a faulty facial bulb. The bulb failed at the ceramic end, fried the metal clip and I think that is what hit the class and shattered it.

Do bulbs have warranties? This is the second bulb failure on this one unit since April 1st. All the bulbs are new on this unit including the facials.

Any help on the subject would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: Ultra Sun solarwind 5000 parts

Check the fans for the facials. Each facial has one. If it isn't spinning then it will break again.

The glass needs to be siliconed back into place.

Go to an Auto parts store and purchase hi temp silicone used for engine gaskets. Glue the new piece back in with the silicone. The glass gets centered in the frame. There should be a gap at both narrow ends. Do not push the one edge up against the frame or it will not allow air circulation.

Also, make sure the beds are vented out of the rooms into the drop ceiling. Venting outside is not recommended as a vacuum in the building is created and restricts airflow through the bed.

Also, make sure you have adequate A/C and it is running. Fans are not a substitute for A/C.

Re: Ultra Sun solarwind 5000 parts

Thanks Brian for the very helpful information and tips.
Rooms Vented- check
Adequate AC- check
Still need to investigate the bulb fan though.

I wish all forums were this helpful!

I as well have SW 5000. Just for future, I recommend calling heartland, Ga location for any/all parts for the bed before silver. They have most parts & filter glass as well as thier prices beat silver's.

I too am having quite the time dealing with Manufacturer's and Parts Suppliers. It is next to impossible to find a way to contact Manufacturer's. When trying order parts we have to call multiple companies. The people we have spoken to and not very helpful and say they are going to track down a part for you. I have never had one of them call me back on a part request! I am beginning to find out that all they really carry is the bed bulbs, I have had to go through the same "rig-a-more-ole" when trying to find a simple facial bulb.

Any references to a good parts supplier?

Re: Ultra Sun solarwind 5000 parts

Update from previous post.

The facial fans are operating.

Brian- In close research of the class, my model has a clear piece of glass that is siliconed in around all edges. The "black" glass sits free floating in a track about 1/3" away from that clear glass. The facial housing gets screwed above that channel.

Thanks Wader for the alternate source for replacement glass. $225.00 before shipping is steep!

Re: Ultra Sun solarwind 5000 parts

Brian is correct. Check your fans again. When I have a blown glass or a fan go out they need to be checked closely. That doesn't mean that if the fan is spinning it is good. I put an object on the fan to slow the fan down a little to see how hard it is pulling. If it is easliy to slow you have a problem. I replace them all when one goes out. It is cheaper than the glass. He has your fans to.

877-307-8434 Jim to get your best prices. It he doesn't have them in stock he is just across town from ultrasunrasun

This will be the last manufacturer or supply house you will call
