Tax Fight Crusaders - tanTALK

I CANNOT believe people are making plans for the tax already. This is WHY we are an easy target.

I myself am doing anything and everything I can to fight this. WE all need to buck up and be aggressive. If you are not able to do that or are not even stepping into the ring, then get your checks into the people that will fight your battle NOW. You can't afford not to folks because what is coming will hit your checkbook a lot worse.

It is NOT over by a long shot. If you think it is and are NOT even going to attempt to get in the fight then close your doors and get out of the way.

I have NO doubt our industry will be getting a strong message out in the next few days on the counter attack. I have faith that plans for a counter attack are being strategically laid out as I type this.

We may not be rich special interest but our numbers are strong and we are voters. I and many of you have outlasted in this industry because we HAVE the guts to get into the fight.

If we lay down without a fight we deserve the loss. As for me I am in it and if I lose so be it but I will NOT just go down silently. I commend those here that are being swift with the backlash!!

Get on it NOW and SHARE what you are doing so others can follow. Let's get it on...Please!

This forum is for the fighters ONLY. If you want to whine about the 10% Tax or have toxic comments to add then go away and post else where because you are non-productive to those of us that are in the fight.

Crystall I agree completely. I have written my Senetors, put a notice on facebook for our clients to do the same, and will be lloking for other ways I can help. We do have to fight.

I agree you are absolutely correct, all salon owner need to get involved in this not only owners, but inform you clients also and ask them to write, call your their Senators about another attack on our freedoms and lifestyles. How is the use of indoor tanning any less healthy than injecting Botox (poison) into ones body?
This also is an outright discriminatory act against the Tanning industry, I can change my appearance by the use of Botox but not by Tanning unless I pay an additional tax.
We must unite and fight just as the medical industry did.

Lucid...start by contacting your Senators TODAY if you can. There is a link that was provided on one of the leading threads.

Rally, family, friends, pets, enemies and customers to do the same and to do it fast. This is an act not only for our industry but the small business people that employ others and make this country great. Provide a statement for them to fire off with links to Senators.

Find the Facebook, Twitter or My Space pages of your Senators. Even if you cannot do a lead post put it in through the comments section just to get your voice heard.

Call or contact, ITA or Smart Tan...ask what they need from us. We were on the phone this morning with Smart Tan and they are already engaging.

The key is we need to engage swiftly on an individual level but also help to arm our industry associations that fight at the governmental level.

I personally am outraged..as a (okay I will say it!!) "Middle Aged Woman." Where are my rights being looked after?

P.S. I hope all the disty's and equipment companies are engaging this issue as well. Sunless folks...you are a future target...get on the bandwagon as well. Our livelihood is yours.

the doctors group probably contribute to the dem party. we don't. they decided we were an easy target. their might be some tax angle--change the way do business so they can't touch us. I'll work on it. Anybody else know a tax attorney or etc.

contacted all 3 in georgia but they are against the bill being that they are republicans. NOT SURE IT DID MUCH GOOD BUT AT LEAsT THEY KNOW I AM ANGRY ABOUT THIS.

couldnt we contact other states senators that are democrats even if we do not live or own businesses in those states.
