Rep Power: 22 | "THE NEW LAW" Much weaker lamps? This whole situation has got me puzzled. What if, come March, the "new law" goes into effect that greatly reduces what a lamp can put out as far a UVB and UVA. I need new lamps soon, but I'm not going to buy any, because the lamps I'm using now might be stronger than the new lamp guildlines. It sure seems to me that this is a logical question and could sure raise heck with sales for the lamp companies. What does everyone think? Another thought, what if they shut us down, come March, or give us until the end of the year to cease operations? A lot of companies, down the tubes. Do you suppose we'll get a bailout? |

Re: "THE NEW LAW" Much weaker lamps? The European Union have done that across here, but like John said, this only applies to new and second beds being bought and sold. We know of some places in England who have converted the beds back so that they can use more powerful lamps. fortunately, the local county council don't know how to test for the new regs and normally just leave us alone lol | |

Rep Power: 23 | Re: "THE NEW LAW" Much weaker lamps? The Euro Regulations are different for each country. Most adopted the 0,3 but places like France are at 0,15 W/mē. Some coutries like Spain are very strict, others still have no enforcement. Some areas had to convert all older beds to meet the new regs & others was on new equipment only.
