my salon has a few. One is if you buy a gift card you get a certain amount back for yourself. Giftbags from 25 to 50 to $100 and doing a "12 days of christmas" where each day we have something different (ex. buy a packette get a free upgrade, 25% off all moisturizers)

half price upgrades, free upgrade into next level with packette purchase, buy 5 get 2 free, 25% off all after tan moisturizers and then if they refer a friend we usually give $7.50 in tan dollars but if you do it during these twelve days we'll give you $14, buy a packette pick a prize (prizes are $5 tan dollars, free upgrade, half price upgrade, free shot of lotion, free packette, etc.) its really fun actually and the customers are coming every day to see what we have! it def works great

We do the 12 Days of Christmas too, but we actually make a calendar that says what the specials are each day and pass it out about a week ahead of time (starting today). In some ways I think its best to NOT let people know what the specials are until they come in because it gets them to come in more often. But we started the calendar last year and we found that people were giving them to friends and so we were seeing more new clients (referrals). Its just another form of advertisement, I guess.

We also make a calendar, put i am not emailing it out until the day before it starts. I dont wanna deter anyone from making purchases in the mean time.

Examples of our specials included in the 12 days calendar are: Eyeswirls - BOGO 1/2 price, Save $2 when you purchase 2 lotions packets, 10% Off Moiturizers, etc, etc

i like the calendar idea, but at the same time i feel bc we do some good deals people will hold off until the twelve days come? we do post it every hour on facebook though so ppl will see the feed without having to come in to the salon.
