Scary. And you say why? Well it interesting how one county has and another has not. What info did one have over the other, what "beliefs".

Also makes you wonder how many other bills, ordinances, etc are passed through or voted down simply due to lack of education on the very topic of the vote.

I really wish there was more mandatory research done on information for or against a bill. A lot of these are VERY one sided. Justice is NOT blind, it a joke.

Well its good news though.

It is good news! I think the big difference was Baltimore County was in front of the County Council... a board of elected officials tasked with more business oriented and fiscal responsibility. The Howard County Board of Health was an Advisory Board comprised of health care professionals who made their mind up based on research (often skewed) done by their peers. Supporters spoke their language and us as oppostion did not- not that we didn't speak volumes! We did- but in this case- birds of that feather flocked together. As one of the board members said- they understand the impact this may have on our businesses but they are considering the health risks to teens... Thank goodness Baltimore County acknowledged this is a parent's right. This isn't the end, I figure it will be a busy legislative session for us in Maryland.
