Rep Power: 0 | Input on this older bed This is a 1999 Prosun 48/102. Can somebody help me and tell me what type of lamps are used in this bed, how does it tan and any other helpful tips. Here is what I'm told are the current lamps in it. Not sure if those top canopy lamps are 160's? ALso, what recomendations might you offer on the best lamps for this unit. Canopy......54-Cosmolux 10036/25 Watt & 28-Signature Series FR591 VH Bench........20-Cosmolux VLR 18810\100 Watt or 20-Signature Series FR71 I recognize this is an older unit but somtimes you find dinasaurs that can be work horses and provide a decent tan. Thanks |

Rep Power: 16 | Re: Imput on this older bed We have the spaghetti facials in our Sundash Beds. They don't do anything more than standard lamps do- they are only a sales pitch and a pain IMO. Clients don't know the age unless it shows- The bed pictured looks like it was well maintained.

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Input on this older bed There is some guy around here (Brian O) that has a picture of a prosun boat anchor. Ask him and he'll show it to you. I don't have first hand experience with prosun but from what I've read they had some serious quality control and design issues in the past. Apparently they have improved but I believe a '99 would be in their dark period. Now from a practical point of view this bed takes 54, I did read that right didn't I?, 25 watt facial lamps at $12 a piece, what a pain in the ***. to be considered a workhorse I feel a bed needs to meet some criteria 1. reasonable initial cost 2. reliable design with minimal upkeep and rapair costs 3. low cost per session 4. consistantly good tans This bed has questionable reliablity and with that lamp configuration high operating costs. I'd stay away |
