Rep Power: 15 | Re: need best hp bed for 10 x 7.5 room try and adjust your thinking in regards to lamp wattage. 10 or 12 years back I would agree 1000w is the way to go, but with reflectors and glass evolving to where they are today, you can a real performer in the 600w range. For a tight space, try the ISO Glammy L19, or the new Matrix 28 DEC <----not sure if that is too big. You can also consider the Tan America X2 Sky. Not many people have much experience with the Sky on here, but the ones that do are pleased. Hmmm, what else? I can't really think of any other HP that is compact enough to fit in that room, though I'm sure there are more. |

Have you considered vertical HP? That would be a good size room for a stand up HP if you want 360 with a lot of kick in a small space. Check out the Saturn. |

Rep Power: 17 | Re: need best hp bed for 10 x 7.5 room Thank you all for your responses.. i have considered most of what you have suggested but wanted to hear experiences as well. x2 sky sounds great.. njoy seems like it wont give an all around tan.. even the photo from sportarredo shows the girl on her side tanning and shes like 80 lbs! and Kpower you said its the reflectors and glass but what concerns me there is i was told the same from heartland about the 400 watt facials in my bed ( since i went from and old bed with 1000w facials. ) however my customers got ****** and complain daily about their face not getting much compared to my old bed. no one has seemed to fix my issue with that.. i feel comfortable going with high wattage to be safe.. thanks again.. |

EDIT: ****, even if you're purchasing used try to get a bed I described above. Aside from the Magic 636, the most raved about HP are the ones that use parabolic cone style reflectors. | |

Rep Power: 15 | Re: need best hp bed for 10 x 7.5 room Matrix L28 Compact Magic Plus 4 I've never tanned in either, but I have a Matrix L33 and if I was in the market for a new HP, I would most likely go with the L28. Looks bad *** and I love the reflector system. According to a post "across the street", it's also very close to "traditional" HP. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: need best hp bed for 10 x 7.5 room There is no substitute for raw power. Low wattage HP uses filters to let more B through to make it more effective which makes it a VHR like tan. High wattage HP produces more photons to bombard your skin with more UVA and produces a longer lasting tan. Traditional HP. The UVA output from low wattage HP is just not there. The tan will exfoliate just as fast as a VHR tan as the higher B is more drying. It is not true HP. It is up to you what you want to offer your customers but if you have good VHR units now and are looking to add a HP then get a traditional HP setup using high wattage lamps as the tan will last longer. Your customers will figure out that the VHR type HP tan only lasts as long as the actual VHR tan and costs more so they will just go back to the VHR bed. Customers that use true HP units are loyal to them and realize the benefits of the extra money spent as they don't have to use the machine as many times per month which saves time for them, their tan lasts longer, and their skin feels much better. Softer, not dry and tight like the higher B tan. No lotion will compensate for that. |
