It was a solicitation, each had a penny stuck to it, (thanks for the down payment on an airbrush system Fantasy Tan) with the reps name on it. She knew that there was talk out there but did not know specifically the details. She said she was new.

If Lester did put out a company memo, I hope others in the company see what a bone head move it is to keep that White Paper on the site.

This is nothing new. There are a couple of new spray tan companies here in chicago using fantasy tan.........and advertising it as something else. (they have renamed). They are BIG on the $$ back to support not tanning in a bed and bashing UV tanning.

They are also spinning it that the spray tan is ORGANIC.....bashing other UV FREE as chemicals and how its bad for you.

As I see it it doesn't matter where FTs information comes from, if it is correct or not. What matters is will their anti-uv strategy help or hurt their sales. That is really all that matters to them.

Not everyone likes the results of a spray tan , I doubt there are any 100% spray tan retail stores in existence making money. If that were viable we'd all ditch our beds for a big air compressor, 800 Sq.ft. with 4 air guns and some inexpensive solution for $30 profit per session.

It's more likely that a mix of exclusive UV, Mixed UV/spray and Spray only customers are required to support a viable retail tanning business. So that being said if FT or any Spray company hurts UV tanning business, successfully putting them out of business there will be no retail outlet to offer their product.

I think that is why everyone is so angry about bashing UV because we all know it's necessary to exist. If we don't exist neither does Lester on any large scale. He'll have a hand full of successful mobile people but that's not enough. He needs our retail outlets and thus should respect his primary distribution networks needs. What we don't need is continued dissemination of reports designed to scare consumers vs. recommend healthy ways to take advantage of the benefits of indoor tanning.

Everyday people make choices that are healthy or harmful, anything in excess will harm you. Like Chinese water torture.

Emprex...nice post and well said. I think most of us are in a FT boycott as well as the ones we have compiled as sellers using UV scare tactics to sell rather than the quality of the product . I know I am and I have recently stopped two new sprayers from an FT purchase.

I def look at the website and literature put out by the sunless before I purchase from them and I think that we all are adopting that method.

I am not going to purchase a dog that bites and I will make sure others in my line of business don't either.
