Re: Fantasy Tan Bashes UV Tanning

Obviously #3 is the only correct choice.

Words should not be banned. It is counter productive, it keeps the info from being searched and just sweeps it under the rug.

Lester should not be banned as he has not broken any of the rules on this site and I was the one that called him out on it with an e-mail and he just found his way here to defend his opinion/position.

Doing nothing is what this industry does best, hence® the position we are in right now with the media and the public.

The only correct thing to do is to leave all words in play, leave Lester in play, and vote with our checkbooks. The info and additional info added to this topic will be able to be searched for future inquiries so people can make an educated decision on who they do business with.

Lester should be allowed to stay. Just because we don't agree with his business practices he should not be shunted from the conversation. It is better to keep him close and have him participate so we are better informed as to the angles that these companies tend to operate toward. He came on and answered professionally about his position and that does not warrant banning. Eileen, take your emotions out of it. It is apparent who added the poll to this thread. Work with just the facts.

Everyone should post their humble opinions on this topic and it will be archived for future reference. If you disagree with the way Fantasy Tan does business or have a problem with their advertising then you can simply do one of two things:

1) You can ask the company to change their position in the industry and explain how this hurts all involved.

or

2) You can vote with your checkbooks and discontinue purchasing any other products from this company as you feel that they are doing you a disservice in the industry.

The choice is yours, do the right thing.

If you think companies like Infinity Sun,Mystic,Magic,Versaspa and the like are not pumping money into negative ad campaigning against U.V tanning, your sadly mistaken. They are just not public about it.

If your going to ban someone like fantasy tan,you should consider banning all sunless from the boards, because they are all guilty of bashing the tanning industry, some just choose not to expose themselves.

This is not about politics, its about marketing.
You will not drag me off topic. As usual you avoided the question I put so perfectly clearly to you. I do NOT stab my own clients in the back after they spend money with me. I do everything within my means to have the VERY BEST CUSTOMER service. Lester does not.

This has nothing to do with customer service. Besides, you stated that you did not and would not do business with Fantasy Tan so you really have no position to comment on Fantasy Tan's customer service. You decided to do business with another UV bashing company.

Follow the writen words now. I understand why you want words banned. It is easier to dispose of things you don't comprehend.

Even on areas where I was already tanned, such as my face, it left me with a nice glow. It always lasts for at least 10 days, and it fades as evenly as it goes on, so I am not left with splotches or streaks. The best part is that it leaves my skin soft and moisturized and avoids the harmful effects of the sun while still providing a great tan! “

"As a dermatologist, I inform patients on a daily basis about the "damage that tanning" in the sun does to the skin not only due to the increase risk of skin "cancer" but also on all the long term detrimental cosmetic effects that it has on the skin. However, I also know that having a beautiful tan is highly desirable so I wanted to be able to provide a healthy way for my patients to tan. I examined numerous sunless tanning systems; and in my professional opinion, Infinity Sun provides the best and most realistic tan. My patients love it and I am happy that "I know that their tan did not come at the expense of long term damage to their skin."

“Our clients absolutely love their Infinity Sun tans. It has been a great boost for our business for three reasons. First, our clients love the look that the personalized Infinity Sun gives them. With the right mixture of bronzer and tanning solution , the client receives a rich and warm tan in a matter of minutes making them look like they have been in the Caribbean for a week! Second, our clients love the silky smooth feel of their skin after having an Infinity Sun tan. Our clients know they don’t just look and feel good, but that they have also nourished their skin with the nutrients in the Infinity Sun solution . It is a great story to tell customers who are used to getting tan under the harmful rays of the sun. Everyone seems to know how the UV rays accelerate the aging process and increase the risk of cancer, but it seems that people will sacrifice going into the sun with reduced protection for a warm vibrant tan. With an Infinity Sun Tan, not only can they wear full protection against the sun’s harmful rays, but they also are taking a step to care for their skin by nourishing their skin with Infinity Sun’s all natural products. Lastly, since this is a service business, the personalized Infinity Sun experience gives us the opportunity to create a bond with the client, making them feel more comfortable not only with the end result, but with the entire process. Personalized service allows our clients to customize their tans and gives them a more complete feeling over the tanning experience that keeps them coming back.”

These are excerpts form testimonials posted on the website. More blatant UV bashing. They have the control on what they post on their site and they allow this to occur. It is controllable.

You have been brainwashed. This is today and it is still going on.

Re: Fantasy Tan Bashes UV Tanning

I'd post just the opposite on my site but I wouldn't stoop to that level. When people come in and tell me how they were hacking from the thing blasting them in the face, lack of instructions from the imbecilic staff, the streaks and spotty coverage especially around the joints and ankles and how you have to basically be a do nothing for a living or you'll ruin the application, I laugh and sell them tantowels.

See, that's a true downside to something. Nothing about imaginary risks or ailments. Just sucky product.

I don't drink Diet Coke. Not because it has fake sugar that might cause cancer but BECAUSE IT SUCKS! That's all folks. You get around the "danger" not by drinking the calorie free poison version of something you just drink less of the regular.

I use a nail gun these days. I'm getting too old to be swinging a hammer. Much more accurate.

I have no time for you either. If you can't comprehend a simple question I have to move on to other things.
