Who watches the kid while the she's tanning if the canopy is down and she can't see the kid? Do you want the liability of the kid getting hurt in the room while the parent is not watching? Do you want the liability of the parent saying her kids eyes are bad from you not supplying eye protection? One person per room no matter what tell them it's health code. Salons are not daycare centers. However I do know of one successful chain that actually has a room for kids and supplies toys etc and the door shuts and is under camera surveillance in these rooms and they allow kids to wait there. It actually works out really well for this chain. I have a friend who's staff was suppose to be watching a kid in the lobby for a client and the kid walked out while staff was cleaning beds 3 hours later police find the kid in the forest. It's just not worth watching kids in my opinion. Last edited by MATT A; 08-24-2009 at 12:58 PM. |

Re: kids going in tanning room with mom It depends on your state law, Some will let you if they are wearing eye protection but who says they are actually keeping them on thier face!! I had to switch this to over 5 can sit in the lobby under 5 must have an adult sit with them in the lobby, but again liability!! | |
