best day ever/sales!

so much for this weeks negative news hurting us. for july 31st....i decided to try a last day crazy sale...no advertising...just sell it to the clients coming in. like i said...it was a last second idea. anyhow, decided to run a 2for1 on our $100 package of stars....and a 2for1 on our monthly unlimited (which includes base beds only and surcharge extra on all upgrades)
so, we did just over 60 people is all...(normal lately) but our sales were $3,038!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AMAZING i thought.
so, anyone up for a crazy days sale? worked for me.

Thats great to hear!! good to see salons are still having those days, Im doing a big event myself im having a Free Tan Friday, August 7th with Domenico from MTV coming to sign autographs its gonna be crazy!

my husband and i just purchased an existing salon and i am trying to generate more sales. ... we are planning on doing some remodeling later in year but have to get more $$$ first before we do that! was wondering what a crazy day entailed or even a free friday ... we will be doing our grand re-opening later on. any ideas would be welcomed ... you guys seemed to have some ideas was wondering if you would be willing togive me more details or ideas! thanks

one day hurt a month? we only had 60 people...we don't have the same 60 people each day, so each day uneffected. or, if august looks bad towards the end of the month....maybe a different promo to add sales?

Boyne has two tanning salons and a population of about 3600. As I am sure is well under yours. Thats why I asked the location to the amount of clients seen daily. Ours is about half of yours being in a small area and having a competitor that doesn't understand pricing. She sells a one month unlimited package for 24.00. How do you deal with that?
