Rep Power: 0 | Texas House Bill 1310 Must be defeated! Thursday deadline - Help ATTENTION TEXAS SALON OWNERS If you own a salon in Texas, Im sure you've heard of House Bill 1310 that will ban teens from tanning at all salons unless they have a Dr's written permission. Thursday is the deadline for 'the people' to speak out against this bill. It only takes one minute!! Please take this minute to click this link: http://salsa.wiredforchange.com/o/57...action_KEY=158 to send an email to your state representative, senator and the Governor opposing this outrageous legislation. It's EASY. Once you are on the site, you can either personalize the letter already present in the message field or send it as it is. Don’t forget to enter your name, email address, phone number and organization (business name). The program directs the email to the proper offices. This is a very serious threat so please contact other tanners in your area and spread the word about this legislation. Forward this email to anyone who is willing to support our campaign and encourage your friends to take part as well. HB 1310 will be voted upon next week. If you have already sent an email you don't need to do it again. If you have any questions or want to get more involved, please call or email the Indoor Tanning Association at (202) 367-1142 or admin@theita.com . |

Rep Power: 23 | Re: Texas House Bill 1310 Must be defeated! Thursday deadline - Help It is more effective to show up and speak against the bill in person. It may be a great hassle or sacrifice to get to the capitol and find the committee and sign up to speak, but if there aren't any personal rebuttals to the bill for legislators to put a face to it is easy to cave to political favors and bureacracy.

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Texas House Bill 1310 Must be defeated! Thursday deadline - Help I agree. This is from the Exec. Director of the Indoor Tanning Association... HB 1310 will be voted upon next week. If you have already sent an email you don't need to do it again. However we are asking everyone to encourage employees, your spouse, friends and customers to join our campaign. The plan is to print each message and hand deliver them to the legislature on Friday. So, please help with this effort. The goal is to enlist another 1000 people by Thursday. If you have any questions or are having trouble with the link, please email us or call 202 367 1142. Thanks again for your support. |
