whats your policy on others in the rooms

Ok I have a question:

Whats your policy on letting other people go in the tanning rooms. We constantly have boyfriends and kids going in with the tanner. Some woman actually brings her 3 kids in there with her. I know its not good
for their eyes to be in there. I was thinking the other day when a girls boyfriend went in with her ......Who knows if they are both trying to lay in there. On the other hand we can't watch peoples kids when they go tanning.

You must not be regulated, Only 1 person is allowed in a tanning room.

Re: whats your policy on others in the rooms

Are you crazy..... ONLY 1 PERSON PER ROOM! You are in control with operation of your salon, so do not ever set yourself up for a fall! Tell the woman with the kids, no kids allowed in the rooms, get a babysitter if you want to tan. SORRY THIS IS A FEDERAL LAW AND I MUST OBLIGE! This always works...We let kids hang in the lobby only if they are well-behaved. Boyfriends and Girlfriends will always try to go in rooms with each other. When they break your acrylic because of hanky-panky and trying to "GET A FREE TAN" What are you going to do! You must take charge these types of customers will only set up for a an expensive fall! TAKE CHARGE OF YOUR OWN SALON!! Protect yourself !!

Your insurance company would cancel your policy in a heartbeat if they knew you were allowing this. Your liability is huge. Stop it now before you lose everything.

Yeah you definately need to lay down the law here. I have an older lady who needs help getting in the bed. I allow her husband to go in to help her but then he comes out and then I start the bed for her. Take control of your salon.

YOu just tell them straight up, No, its against the law. If the kids are tooyoung to watch themselves while their mom is tanning, then she shouldnt be bringing them in.

First rule should always be...Do no harm. We are obligated to ensure safety and integrity in our industry first and foremost. Otherwise we deserve to be open to being trashed/regulated by the medical community.

I don't know what your insurance says, but mine stipulates only 1 person in the room and that everyone being exposed to UV needs to sign the waiver form prior to being exposed.

Do you even have insurance?
