Big Blue vs MyMyst???

Quick question... I have a MyMyst and the comp has the old Big Blue Box, or as I call it... a tanning shed!

I was under the assumption that the big blue box can only use one solution at a time?

Someone came in and said they went to the salon up the street and it had 3 different levels. Something like, Light - Medium - Dark... but they have the tanning shed

Can someone educate me on this?

Thanks in advance

Re: Big Blue vs MyMyst???

Mystics run off 3 levels.

Level 1 basically is nothing most salons will run level 1 and 2. Regualr and Enhcanced Mystics or some just on level 3.

Ok, now I'm even more confused???

I know there are different levels of solution ... but i thought the booth itself only sprayed (1) 5-gallon mix at once

You can program the booth to spray 3 different levels sending 11 min to the booth is a level 1 12 minutes to the booth is level 2 13 minutes is level 3 the booth still sprays aprox 60 seconds but the levels change. Offers more spray etc..

Ok, that part I understand... is the difference in the soultions... or the amount of actual spray time?

So in other words, for level 3... you get the same solution as level 1, except more of it?

Re: Big Blue vs MyMyst???

Mystics can have dual meters and run off two solutions this has nothing to do with the levels. The levels are time enhanced offer more spray per level session you can say.

Re: Big Blue vs MyMyst???

To be honest with you I have never done a Mymyst but will do one tommrow to answer your question. Done plenty of Mystics and other booths persoanlly from a tanning prespective the Verspa is top of the line. I have a few customrs that own both though and will argue they like the Mymyst better.

Movieking has a Mymyst maybe he can chime in......

I have a mymyst and love it. Seriously never a concern from a customer. Never tryed a veraspa. I have the 1500 model - open, small and profitable.

In other words -- if they have the dual meter option booth (which was about a $2-3K upgrade at the time -- this when the booths were $30K!), you could have up to 6 options:

Level 1 -- bronzer or clear (or premium and regular or whatever two solutions you purchased and run)

Level 2 - same 2

Level 3 - same 2

About 95% of clients are run on Level 2 at my salon. Level 1 is just not enough solution in my opinion. Level 3 is for those that are very dark in color already -- too much for your "average" tanner.

Hope that helps!

Re: Big Blue vs MyMyst???

Levels 1, 2, and 3 are very different. Light Medium and dark. If calibrated correctly the higher levels give more color. It's sprays a determined amount of solution in 12 seconds for Level 1, 15 seconds for level 2 and 18 seconds for level 3.
Original blue box.
