An Aqua Massage bed????

We have almost convinced ourselves to purchase one... either a SpaCapsule or an AMI unit. I don't want to spend $28k to hold the rug down.

I want to know if anyone has been successful.

I read horror stories... and the SpaCapsule flood machine for sale, but somone has to have been successful.

We are in a really small town but we didn't do well with it. We ended up moving it out and have it at home. You might want to see if your local paper would run a news article about the benifits with a small tag that you now carry it.

From what everyone says it's like the oxygen bar in that nobody seems to make money with either and then sell them in a year or two.

The previous owners bought one. I made them take it out of the sale because I had never seen anyone use it. I've been here almost 3 months now (it's still here while they are waiting to get some warranty work done to it - I really need to remind them I need it gone soon......) and NO ONE has used it. It's an expensive boat anchor. A bed upgrade would have been a much better purchase.

nope, I lost 8 k sellin 1 of mine to parrot head and he lost money sellin his, ands I got a deal for buyin 2 of them.... buy a massage chair for 3k u will get money back faster

Take a GOOD HARD LOOK at your salon and ask yourself if there's ANYWHERE ELSE you could spend $28,000 on before a massage bed.

Like everyone else in the tanning business, I want another little niche to pull in non-tanners. I don't have spray tan ... because I've always felt my ROI would take forever, and we don't do airbrushing simply because we don't want to sit there and spray someone half naked and ugly.

So we thought... "Who doesn't like a massage???" and at only a buck a minute (or less with a package) we might be able to sell enough to some money on it.

I'm a bit of a marketing guy... so I do have a plan to market it outside of the salon, and also wanted to offer a "Surf & Turf" package to get tanners interested.

So I welcome more replies to educate myself through other tanning salon owners woes and hopefully some triumphs.

We could spend money elsewhere... another Ergoline unit would be nice, but it still $ux when the media trashes tanning salons... so we wanted to try something different to draw in new (non-tanner) clientele.
