The equiptment you have to buy is marked up and sub-par in many markets. Selling 24 month contracts is not as easy as they make it seem and 350k is a lot of investment to put in a salon that is probably going be in a oversaturated market. Do a search on this and the other salon forums. Planet Beachs are dropping like flies all across the country. My friends sold their three for pennies on the dollar. Why do you want to bust your *** just to pay franchise fees. In the last three months I've bought two seperate franchise salons for almost nothing for the equitment. Franchises are dying quick. |

The franchise will not help you make any more money than not being one, in fact its been the other way all too often. So dont think of it as being a franchise yet, think of how it would be to open your OWN salon in town. Can the town support another? How much will it make? etc... One you have YOUR business plan lined up THEN start thinking of a franchise purchase. Just my 2 cents.
