Re: Infinity Sun????????

Thank you so much for your info, I spray much faster and it really does make a HUGE difference, my clients do dry much quicker and I am not using as much solution . I still wish I could get more sprays out of the liter box though.

Re: Infinity Sun????????

I have a Magic Tan 200 that is from what I've found the same machine. I have been using the plastic Versa Spa jug that is also the same solution as Infinity and is half the price. I get 3 one gallon jugs for $200. I just got some samples from Rick Norvell (who was making the solution a little bit ago when MT first changed but has now changed to the original that is inferior IMO) for free and will most likely be ordering from him now. I also don't know how someone could pay thousands for a backdrop no matter how much $ you can make. It's not the machine that's making me $, it's my salon, advertising, word of mouth, and my awesome fiance that has become a pro at spraying. Don't get caught in the hype of the Infinity, or any other "system".

Re: Infinity Sun????????

^ I think putting your clients in the safest environment while spray tanning is EXTREMELY important. You are selling a service that does not have FDA approval. I think my backdrop was well worth $2,700. not just for my clients health but mine and my staffs as well.

Re: Infinity Sun????????

You can make your own backdrop for under $300. My husband made one for me. 3 plywood panels- hinged, laminated, 2 cut-outs in back for 2 large box fans, throw some 20x20 air filters between the hole and the fan and viola! Works like a charm.
I have the Norvell NT2000 and didn't wanna pay crazy amounts for a backdrop.

I've been looking into the Infinity Sun Spa and am intrigued. I'd like to try it out. I like the idea of being able to change the output quickly and accurately, along with not having to waste solution because the last bit in the cup won't come out. And, not having to clean out the gun every time is very appealing. I'm definitely going to do some more research. Thanks Eileen for all your posts about yours.

I went and got trained in Los Angeles by Infinity and that is a big help when you get started but in the end, practice on real bodies is the most important. I learn things every time I spray.

I hold the gun about 4-6 inches from the client's body. If you hold it farther away you are going to be wasting a lot of solution . I generally spray people who want to be fairly tan on Medium 6-7. Lighter clients on Medium 1-2 and really fair clients on the high Low settings. I haven't sprayed anyone on a high setting. I use a steady pace, not sure what "slow" is to you since it's subjective. You need to make sure your pace is the same throughout your spray to ensure it's even. I would say I don't do it "fast" but I can spray a whole body in 5 minutes. A little more if I contour or emphasize certain areas (shoulders, abs, etc).

I also have figured out a pattern that works for me. It's different than the one on the Infinity training CD. You may find a pattern that's good for you too.

Hope this helps. As for how many sprays I am getting from a liter, I wasn't counting but started with this last liter. I am finding I use about 2.5 ounces per person.

GlowGirlTans,

I am new to this site. I just received my Spa Lite and have been practicing with the pattern on the video. Will you share with me the pattern you are using? I was looking at some videos on youtube watching different techniques (they had different systems as well). I was wondering if you have to go down horizontally to get a more even tan or can you use circular motions too? Also, I am having problems if the person has tan lines that need to be covered. Some parts of the body (like the legs) are darker than others (chest). How you run into that? Do you go over their legs or not?

Thanks in advance for any advice!!!

Re: Infinity Sun????????

I was wandering if anyone knows or can guesstimate the weight of the Infinity Spa? And does it have wheels?

I don't know how much the Infinity Spa is but I just bought the mobile version (Infinity Spa Lite) and it is about 35 lbs and has wheels. It is pretty solid.

Re: Infinity Sun????????

Mine shipped within 24 hrs. I'll be spraying by the weekend! So excited. Thanks for all who share their experience with the spa lite to us newbies. I have the same question above about different shades on upper or lower body or tan lines.

I, also, have never sprayed anyone. But, I've been sprayed for 15 yrs, so hopefully that will help.

Re: Infinity Sun????????

i have the spa unit (larger one) for sale. i love the unit but is way too big for my salon. the spray on the machine is awesome and my clients love it and the color is beautiful. I bought it last summer for $6500, used maybe 15 times.... willing to part with everything for $4500. I will buy a spa lite when I sell this one because its a great product and love the results. Let me know guys and Have a great day Tanning!!!
