It's a learning process but it's not hard. You just have to have bodies to practice on. I got all my friends and family to get sprayed. You just get better with each one. I also have the luxury of living in CA so I flew to LA and got trained with Veronique @ Infinity Sun. That helped too. She makes it seems so easy and gives you a good technique. That said, it's going to take a few practice sprays. And, there will be ones that come up where you mess up. It just happens. For me it's the feet. Good luck! I will say though that the Infinity system and solution make it really hard to mess up. It's very easy to use. |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Infinity Sun???????? I recently purchased the infinity sun spa lite and have been tanning for about a month. Everyone seems to love the color. We keep running into a few issues. We live in Texas and have not done any training so have learned through practice. How many tans are you guys getting with a liter? How close are you tanning and are you tanning fast or slow? We found that we are getting a better tan by spraying pretty close and pretty slow. We also have noticed that it seems to take a long time to dry? I would really appreciate any advice that any of you might have. Also, what level are you tanning most of your clients on? At one point we were using a High 8 but realized we were not spraying close enough. Thanks for any help!!!! |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Infinity Sun???????? Hi NoSunTan, I went and got trained in Los Angeles by Infinity and that is a big help when you get started but in the end, practice on real bodies is the most important. I learn things every time I spray. I hold the gun about 4-6 inches from the client's body. If you hold it farther away you are going to be wasting a lot of solution . I generally spray people who want to be fairly tan on Medium 6-7. Lighter clients on Medium 1-2 and really fair clients on the high Low settings. I haven't sprayed anyone on a high setting. I use a steady pace, not sure what "slow" is to you since it's subjective. You need to make sure your pace is the same throughout your spray to ensure it's even. I would say I don't do it "fast" but I can spray a whole body in 5 minutes. A little more if I contour or emphasize certain areas (shoulders, abs, etc). I also have figured out a pattern that works for me. It's different than the one on the Infinity training CD. You may find a pattern that's good for you too. Hope this helps. As for how many sprays I am getting from a liter, I wasn't counting but started with this last liter. I am finding I use about 2.5 ounces per person. Aspen |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Infinity Sun???????? GlowGirlTans (Aspen) Thank you so much for responding. We are working on trying to get out to Los Angeles. I think it will help out alot! I especially want to learn how to contour. We have already started using our own techniques while spraying. If you don't mind I have just a few more questions. It's so helpful since you have the same machine and I really appreciate your time. How long is it taking your clients to dry? We carry along a fan to help dry our clients quicker, but it seems to still take so long to dry.... If they get dressed to soon etc then it messes up the bronzer. I know that when they shower in the morning that it will all blend, but it is hard sometimes to let the clients understand that. Any suggestions? We have a party tonight with 20 people and I have got to get faster at tanning. I think I am such a perfectionist that I am spending way to much time on each client. Plus I might be spraying a little too close which could be causing the tan to be wetter. Everyone loves their tan which is good, but I need to get them in and out quicker. Do you use the clear or the normalizer? We were offering the normalizer, but we have realized that with the spa lite it is very time consuming to switch out and purge while we are tanning. It seems like we are wasting so much of our product. Even when we switch from clear to bronze it seems to take so much time and waste alot of product. Are you using any sort of barrier cream or how are you spraying the hands and feet? Lastly, we are starting to notice that our clients with the lighter skin are fading very blotchy. Have you had this problem? I tell all my clients to be sure and moistorize twice daily. I also think that if they would use the tan extender it might help. Thank you so much for your help! |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Infinity Sun???????? Hi, I also am using the infinity spa lite (also in Texas) I have had my machine about 2weeks. I am running into all the same issues as you. My first liter box of bronzing I only got 6 bodies out of it!! I realize that I had been purging way too much and when switching from the elixer to the bronzer i am wasting too much solution too. I called the company and they told me you hould only purge when you first get the machine, is this correct? I gave upon the elizer until I get perfect with the bronzer, I feel to clear the line is way too much waste of both products. Also my first 4 bodies I did on the same setting, of course everyone looked completely different because of skin tone etc, one looked excellent but in the morning her legs looked really bad, orange and streaky, i got her to shower and she looked good, another girl looked good but the bronzer on her chest was funky (till she showered) I feel it should look flawless from the minute a client walks out of the door. I personally went to a salon and had a spray tan done with the infinity spa and it was flawless. Hands and feet were a little streak too, I too tried to spray closer to the body but still seem to get so much overspray, I know this will come with practice. Any advise will help. Thanks |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Infinity Sun???????? Hi ailop, We have learned alot and still keep running into different issues. At this point we are getting maybe 12 tans out of a liter. It's better than when we first started but nowhhere near what we should be getting. When I called infinity sun they said it should be close to 30 tans per liter. How long is it taking your clients to dry? It is taking ours a looong time! The bronzer is what is messing up on your clients when they put their clothes etc on. Altough it washes off and evens out you are right... I want my clients to look flawless from the get go. I assume the salons must have major fans that help the tan dry much quicker which helped your bronzer dry and leave you flawless. We bought a portable fan but it still takes forever and my clients still get the bronzer messed up when they get dressed. Have you figured out your settings yet? We are spraying really pale clients on a medium 1 or 2 and sometimes on a low 10. Little darker clients on a medium 3 or 4 or 5 and clients who want to get darker we tan them on a medium 6 thru 9 depending on their base color. It seems to be working. Our main two issues have been the dry time and the hands/feet. However we have a client who we tan weekly. She used to tan at a salon and has her own technique that works great for her. We are going to start trying it on our other clients. She puts on jergens lotion on her hands and feet top and bottom of both prior to us tanning her. We spray her hands and feet a few settings lower than her body. When we finish she immediately puts lotion on her hands and feet again. Please let us know how things are going and share any knowledge as well!!! |

Rep Power: 35 | Re: Infinity Sun???????? NoSunTan and ailop the thing that is similar in your problems is drying time and using more solution then is expected. It sounds like you are putting on to much solution . I find I need to move much quicker so far with the spa lite compared to the regular spa. At the salon we dry our clients relatively quick. We do offer them to go into a standup for 5 minutes to gain access to the full body fans and heat. I'll try to find a photo of the fans we use in the spray room that I think would be great for travel.
