cc debit

I'm leaning towards Moneris for cc debit processing. 1.95% on cc, 10 cents for debit and $79/mnth. Anybody here using them? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks

Re: cc debit

Dang! That monthly rate is insane.

Have Helios? I do and they have a partnership setup with Chase which is actually very competitive.

Re: cc debit

I would still shop around, or even give Chase a call. I pay $10/month on top of any transaction fees. I think the normal small business rate was not much more.

Ah, ok. Wireless I know nothing about. But does the monthly fee include the machine lease? If so I would REALLY recommend you buy your own wireless processor.

Re: cc debit

yes $73 is the rental payment. I looked at buying early on and they highly discouraged it. Can't exactly remember why though. Quite pricey, 2k to 3k if I remember. I think the reason was you can't resell the unit.

Re: cc debit

The brilliant business men that opened my place and lasted a balmy 6months got some frikkin lease on a credit card machine. Ended up costing me like $1500 for a $300 machine AND I had to pay a $150 end of lease fee.

Money well spent...should have shoved it up their arses.

Why did you accept the liability of the previous business? That's a Bozo-No-No.
