Rep Power: 17 | Re: Where are we headed????? Thanks Irene..... but my question is regarding tanning... I have seen some good publications regarding vitamin B and other positive UV information.... what about the tanning industry. (honestly, I thought I would see more responses on this) |

Rep Power: 29 | Re: Where are we headed????? The problem is no one knows what you are talking about/looking for. If you think the better the tan you have the better at life you'll be then I have no idea. If you are talking about revenue then I have no idea. If the question is WHAT'S UP FOR THE TANNING INDUSTRY then I can add what I think. The gas prices will come down and people will have more money but not much. Things will slowly get better and the good word on Vitamin D is going to help. We are at or soon will be the lowest point in tanning. Then things will turn around slowly. So yes, I think the next years will show impovement. Is it enough to turn around the hard ships of current salons past years? Dunno. Is it a good time to get your foot in the door? I'd say **** yes thanks to salons being a dime a dozen. |

Rep Power: 22 | Re: Where are we headed????? Everyone's situation is entirely different, so I'll give ya my feelings of where this business is headed. To start with, we're going to see a whole lot more regulation of this industry in the next 5 years. More and more mom and pop salons will bite the dust. The shake-up we're seeing now, is just a drop in the bucket. Like Eng. said, if you can get it cheap enough it might be worth a try, but I wouldn't stake my retirement on it. I did in 2005; wish I never had. Last edited by parrot head; 08-25-2008 at 10:17 PM. Reason: spelling |
