Smile Tan Track

we are using Tan Track for the first time. Our Salon has four levels, and we Plan on Selling Monthly Packages along with contract EFT. So, my question goes like this, If someone purchases a monthly unlimited Level one, and at some point wishes to use a level 2 bed for one time. How would Tan Track handle this? I saw the upgrade option, but this upgrades the entire package, not a one time use.
could any one help.!!!!

Re: Tan Track

I sell it as a service to account for the money coming in and then use the override button to select the appropriate bed. You can get print outs of the overrides and services sold to keep you employees in check.

Re: Tan Track

I do it a little diff. I have set up an upgrade package, Level 2 upgrade say. That package contains zero tans and has a price of my upgrade. Then if someone has a unlimited package, the employee just buys the upgrade and then tans them in the upgrade bed under their existing package. I check over the upgrade bed report to make sure those w/out packages are also on the upgrade package report. Works well for me, I like not dealing with the override and it works just like normal so our girls don't need to do anything special for an upgrade. Plus when I run my reporting it shows up as a pacakge and not service which keeps things seperate.

Re: Tan Track

I sell it as another package...coded upgrade level 2...or 3 or 4 or 5...show it as having only 1 session and restrict the beds to the level they purchase...then on the report it shows # of upgrades and employee that rings them...(very nice when giving commision on upgrades.)

Re: Tan Track

If you give it 1 session for an upgrade how do you handle someone that has 10 sessions? Or do you not sell session packages? If you give the upgrade 1 session and someone uses it wouldn't you need to then manually remove a session from their remaining?

Re: Tan Track

rck, do you include the option for every bed in your unlimiteds and the employee must choose the correct bed? How else would you avoid overriding?

Re: Tan Track

Yes, I do that. my beds are open to all packages. I'd rather avoid the override issue so it's less work and less confusion. Making override a habit would make overrides automatic to me and my girls. Either way I need to check up to make sure they are not giving away upgrades. I find this easier for me and keeps my reporting seperate.

Re: Tan Track

I do not sell sessions. They have packages to level beds or points. If they would like to upgrade the package 1 time we sell an upgrade...upgrade costs depend on what package that person has...some pay full, some pay half price on upgrades...but each level has a different price for upgrades. In tantrack if you give a package code to the upgrade...code= upgrade level 5 it allowes, after payment, a upgrade session in level 5 and shows as an actual package in their account to be used whenever client chooses.

I hope I'm making this understandable!

Shari

Our salon is the same....can you please break this down, extra simple for me ;)

Use this example:
Demo Bed $16 ~or~ 16points
The client has a membership and a 25 point package, so the upgrade fee to Demo Bed for today's visit will cost 8 points.

Same senario but the client does not have a membership. Client has 25 point package and the Demo bed will cost 15 points.

I am playing with the demo and very green to TanTrack. I hope you understand this....
