Re: Versa Spa by Magic Tan

Another good one to look into that has same technology and a few more options and i believe at a cheaper price is the one by ITS.

I believe their website is www.ITStan.com

i was looking at that and find it has better options. And the technology is there, because ITS owner used to own MagicTan from what i hear. I have the MagicTan 3000 also and when i upgrade, it's between Versaspa and ITS. Haven't narrowed it down yet until is see them both in action......NASHVILLE.

I agree!

I work with salon owners all over the country, big and small. Many still buy and love Mystic (I have one and have had nothing but success), but I have yet to hear anyone regret they went with the VersaSpa. Either of those are your best options in New Sunless Booths in my opinion.

Re: Versa Spa by Magic Tan

I don't see a difference there.....if you've heard of Magic Tan, well good. Cuz he owned magic Tan. And so now if he started ITS what do i care if i don't see a commercial for his equipment. I care about the technology, the design and how effective it works.

If your customers come in and ask for a spray tan ...what do they ask for? MYSTIC.....so if you tell them, NO ...we have a Versaspa...they'll say, i never heard of it.

If they've heard of it, it's because another salon owners EDUCATED them about it.

So what's the difference on what equipment you educate them on.

If I can pick up a spray booth that will do the SAME if not better than the versaspa for the same or less $$$...what's the smarter option.

I'm not quick to judge on popularity based on marketing, which is why i'm going to both booths at Nashville and make up my mind there.

Do you know someone that has the ITS unit? How do you know it has the same technology? Have you used either of them?

Sundome 48 XL

Does anyone know how good is the Sundome XL 48? It is good investment? It is a good bed? I'm openning a new salon, and I have heard so many things about ETS.

Re: Versa Spa by Magic Tan

i dont believe the ITS booth is cheaper than the versaspa. I believe their booth that can do dual solution of theirs goes for $29,995. Their stripped down version sells for 19,995 plus shipping, plus installation so about the same price for a loaded versaspa when all is said and done.

The versaspa is now so popular because the machine sold itself. I dont think anyone ever accused MagicTan of having the best marketing out there when the booth first came out...The booth itself and its performance made it what it is today. (their marketing has caught up and is excellent now).

When you have chains of salons with 50+ stores dropping mystic and ordering versaspas 20 booths at a time, I think that speaks volumes...

I have never tanned in the ITS booth so for all i know it could be the greatest thing out there.....but havent heard of anyone putting one in. I would just suggest being careful when considering them if for no other reason than nobody out there seems to be using them. You dont want to end up with a booth that costs 25K that ends up being a flop and ends up worthless in a year. I would wait until they have a good number of units on the market. Have seen plenty of spray tan booths over the past few years that looked like the latest and greatest only to be worthless a year later..(sunless express, that image somthing booth, celebrity booth). ****, even the cal tan booth has been unable to get a real foothold anywhere.

Stick with magictan or mystic. The only 2 players that will be around for the long haul in the spray tan business.
