Building Size

If you are opening an 8-10 bed salon...how many sq ft should your building be?

Re: Building Size

1200-1400.But it also depends on what kind of salon you plan to have and where it will be located. If a person were to go the base bed mania route {wich is not what you seem to be thinking} small rooms will reflect the cheap prices those beds are capable of getting. On the othor hand big beds in big rooms look real sweet.almost every Salon I have built or assisted in building usualy came down to a comprimise of "I love this location" the rent makes financial sense,parking/hydro/{or accesabilty to more hydro} is there. Also ventalation of beds has to be practicle along with sufficient AC.

And also singage ,next to refferals singage will be your no 1 draw, and you cannot get refferals until you have customers and customers need to find you.It is quite a process with many suprises. But if you get going soon you can have it together for next year.

Re: Building Size

8-10 beds = 2000 to 2,200 square feet. I have 10 units i one salon. Two stand-ups, one HP and 6 mid-size level 2 beds. Space used is 2,200. That includes two restrooms, airbrush room and employee break room.

Re: Building Size

I have a salon that has 8 tanning rooms and 2 change rooms that double as air brush rooms. 3 of the 8 tanning rooms are HP rooms. (10 x 10). I only have 1 restroom and have a stackable washer and dryer. I also have a 4x4 room that houses all the transformers. I only have 1370Sq Ft.
