How much radiation does the sun expose??

In English that would be????? I have found some anti-tanning publications at our local health unit, put together by some office bimbo. She claims some tanning beds expose 10 times the amount of radiation that the sun does...... so I wanna no how much radiation does the sun expose???? We are all experts here, do we no the answer?

Oh... I thought you meant the Sun sun.. not what gets trough the atmosphere.

I would think you would know there are too many factors. Everything from time of year, proximity to the equator, weather conditions, reflective surroundings, pollution, etc.

I think thats why some articles are not consistent with other. No one seems to be able to do the real-world math because it would not apply everywhere.

The only way to really get an idea would be to walk out of the salon with a UV meter every day of the year and take a reading. That will give you an average baseline for your area. Then you meter the beds and compare.

Oh, and outside has lots-o-UV C. UVC is the nasty stuff that destroys organic matter. Without the o-zone, we would all be dead as well as all the plant life. Its also a big problem with aging of the skin!
