Rep Power: 0 | Re: Cruddy Season Didn't we just have this same conversation a couple of weeks ago? Mine has doubled from last year and my lotion sales are "out the window" even tho there are others in the city "cutting the throats", by selling their lotions "dirt cheap". We are colleagues, and should be working together to keep the tanning businesses alive. Don't give up - if you have a nice salon and reputation, they'll come back - with gas prices the way they are, people are staying close to home and paying somewhere close. I have them go somewhere else that is closer and I have gotten alot myself of those that live closer to me. I was eating next door to a salon last night that had a full lobby, but they do not have new bulbs (gal selling her salon) and had an outbreak of shingles from their goggles. The word is out (and they don't care) and they only charge 19.99 a month, so these kids go there, cause all they think about is how cheap it is. Keep your chin up and good luck. |

Just want to finish the flooring and get the new lamps in first! If things are slow its a great way to bring a few people back and get word out. Plus it makes you look stronger. "How can they afford that, they must be doing well". It could help boost confidence with all these salons closing without notice!
