I just heard a few minutes ago that Lawrence Ryan died. Lawrence own's salon in Las Vegas and he was a fun person to be around.

A very sad day, knew Lawrence well. Had a tough life, raised his brother by himself. A true friend. Several will be attending the service on Friday. One of the good guys! Max

Oh my!! If I am thinking correctly, he's a youngin. Not very old at all...considering my age, he looked to be quite younger. Really a fun guy full of **** and vinegar.
Sad for sure. What was the cause?

His story will air on the A&E show Intervention on Monday. I knew Lawrence, though not well. He was the first salon owner to introduce high pressure tanning to the Las Vegas market. I actually have an employee who worked for him for several years - she has stated repeatedly that when Lawrence was focused, he was a great teacher.

I mean no disrespect. I was trying to make the point that when he was focused that he was considered one of the brightest in the industry - sorry if you did not like my choice of words. He was considered an industry pioneer in the Vegas market.

Oops - RDKJ was writing at the same time I was.

I didn't see it as a "jerk" thing to say. Lawrence (who I did not know) agreed to have his story shared on the show "Intervention". From the clip, it appears he was deeply impacted by the horrible disease of addiction. I thought RDKJ's comment was very appropriate, to share that the "person" was a great teacher -- when the disease wasn't in control.
