Lastly, I don't feel "shameful" for my solicitation at all. This is a unique moment for our Industry and also for the online Boards. I have sent money, spent time soliciting more money and asked that each Tanning Person do what they can to get the word out. Plan to continue to do so right up until election night.

I also hope this thread stays more front page, clearly in this election season, it is important that who we elect gets lots and lots of scrutiny.

I totally disagree,this guy will use this industry to get elected,then will forget about everyone who helped him get there.

He will look out for "his" best interest,not ours.His agenda will be to move further up the political ladder as all politicians do.

It will be impossible for him to get anything done related to the industry seeing he has such a big stake in it.

I wouldn't contribute a wooden nickel to his campaign.

megatanman since when is a political job a high paying job.... how is that moving up? it's usually about passion and not money. IMHO

Eileen, you can't be an idealist and a conservative at the same time - it's like matter and antimatter, or oil and water, or white meat and red wine. Politics, and politicians in general, IMHO, quit being about "public service" a long, long time ago, in a Virginia far away.

I swear some of you people have less than half a brain.

Heres another scenario...A congressman that had a family member die from skin cancer proposes a new law banning indoor tanning,since he believes the death of his family member was due to over exposure in tanning beds.

How far do you think he would get with knowing he has a vendetta/agenda against the tanning industry?

megatanman we probably shouldn't even have this conversation if you think $50 is my lifes savings. lol ;)

i've met dan before and i've read about his campaign. i have no problem supporting him. as far as someone getting skin cancer john mccain already has it and doesn't visit tanning salons.

Thats a great example Eileen,Do you think it would be fair for John Mccain to ban indoor tanning?How much sand do you think his campaign against indoor tanning would hold knowing he's never even vistied one.
