Re: Warm up your tanning bed..

Har, I like that one. "Ebay sells USED tanning lotions"

Meters read best about 3-5 mins into a session. That tells me 'cold' lamps do not have the best output. But.... very HOT lamps do not either,. from what I am told. Never laid there and done a full sesson with my SteveO meters. Something else to play with.

LOL... I hope you are not serious. I will assume your not :) But just incase you really think a cold bed is better, just like BooBop I have a meter that I use to keep and eye on a bed's performance. And its been publicized before in many places. The optimal temp seems to be between 72 to 80 degrees. And colder and the output lowers and any warmer, same thing.

Re: Warm up your tanning bed..

I agree that a cold bed will perform just as a hot bed, its only nice because noone wants to lay on a cold acrylic. I've had people come in here and say I want to lay after somebody because if its cold I don't get alot, but I have people who are the first ones in there and they are as dark as the ones who lay later.

Re: Warm up your tanning bed..

We warm all units 5 minutes upon opening just to take the chill off of the acrylics for the 1st morning customers.

Just out of curiosity. Why do you say cold beds do not tan as well? i was always trained that it does not matter the temperature of the bed.

Re: Warm up your tanning bed..

Unity I got negative reputation for saying you were in freak mode. WTF? I guess I hurt some poor soul's feelings. I call BS!! Someone needs to pull up their big boy/girl pants.

I'm new to all the rep stuff. How can I find out who done it?

Look under the Tan Talk logo, you will see the "user CP". Pretty sure the reputation stuff if the first stuff you see when you click on it.
