Question high pressur bed

I was considering purchasing a sunboard plus. Has anyone ever used one or have any advice for me. There is not one in our area and I don't want to waste my money if it is not awesome!

Re: high pressur bed

Go with an OPEN SUN 1050, great color and a huge WOW factor!

Re: high pressur bed

The Sunboard is not one of the top HP beds. There better choices out there.

Re: high pressur bed

I own 2 of them. The bottom acrylic always cracks and breaks due to poor design and costs me $1000 each time (usually once a year). Looks great and was ahead of its time 7 or 8 years ago, but now there are so many better choices. The color you get out of it is just not that great compared to other hp's. All style, little substance. Not to mention, compare the retail price to what you can pick up one used for (26k new... 7k used). That speaks volumes to what salon owners feel about the bed. Just my opinion.

Question Re: high pressure bed

Thanks for your input. Someone please help me. . . . Tell me what is in your salons and what is best for the money. I don't want to talk to salespeople cause what they are selling is always best. I want advice from someone who is not making a penny off me. Thanks

Re: high pressur bed

For me, hands down it's the Master Sun 360. Massive good looks with powerful color. The only downside is it can feel a little warm the last 3 minutes of a 15 minute session (although, I currently do not have them vented out as of yet). You will get the WOW on the looks and people come back with cash in hand for the color. Bought my 2 from Steve (sport a tan). I've had them now for almost a year and not one problem. Good Luck.

Re: high pressur bed

There are a lot of threads about HP beds.

It depends on your market and your budget.

You can get HP right now from 2K (used UB 812) to 45K.

What will be "best" for you will depend on what you are trying to achieve.

The Sunboard might be a fine bed for 7K used if you can make your money back on it within a few months and maybe upgrade to something better.

Or maybe you start with a UB 812 - they are definitely old school and dated looking, but if your town has no HP, could be the greatest things since sliced bread. Definitely still salons making money on them!

On the other hand, maybe you want to plunk down 40-45K to have a Magic with Mug6 glass delivered and installed. You wouldn't have anybody telling you that was a "bad bed" - it just may not be the best option for you depending on your market and budget.

What is your other equipment? What does your competition have? What has you thinking about adding HP? What is your budget?

Answers to those will help you figure you what will make sense.

Re: high pressur bed

sunsally, my salon is in ohio. We have no high pressure beds in our area, so I feel it would be great. i have 8 beds -10 min, 20 min, booth,VHO /VHR. I have a lot of customers in the upgrade beds & finally feel HP will go well. I want something that will give high pressure a WOW factor. I would prefer to buy used. 360 tanning preferably. The sunboard plus was 10k
plus shipping and needs new bulbs. It has 2000 hours on it. Maybe that isn't such a great price either?????
