EMPLOYEE CHECKLIST

Does anyone do a employee check list so at the end of the night they can check off all they did and sign it? Leaving no way for them to say they forgot.
My employees forget thing's! I dont' want any excuses.
Also how do you feel when your employee is not doing towels till the end of the night so when you come in the morning you have a large load of towels to fold. for me I hate it ...
I think it should be done throughout the shift and maybe a small load at the end of the night. AM I asking too much with that??
Do you allow your employee the use of the internet?
My employee is using AiM (Aol Instant messenger) and texting the phone rings..and she does this when I am here..What is she doing when I am not?

Thank you for your time!

Re: EMPLOYEE CHECKLIST

Trust me, NO INTERNET!!!! PERIOD!!!!! Heck, look at me! I spend all day on here! LOL But at least its work related, I do my other surfing (for hot pics of Derf ) while at home.

Yes we have a checklist for them to follow. If the employee is not, then we require they start signing one each night. A good employee will do their job, a bad one only does what they are told - as in you have to tell them EACH NIGHT what to do. I hate that! :)

As for towels. I only allow one load to be done a day. And its done in the AM when things are slow. We have enough towels to make it through two days so there should never be a need to do more than one load. Honestly the primary reason is to not waste water/electric/soap on small loads. That adds up a lot over the year.

Re: EMPLOYEE CHECKLIST

I have one that has a line next to each "chore" for them to initial. That way I can see that everyone is doing their part, and that they are getting everything done.

I even had to put "lock cash register and put key away" on there! They'd forget that. LOL

Good luck!

Oh, and NO internet use here... no way, no how!
