Advertising Rules

This is a website for tanning salon OWNERS and future owners to share information. There are a handful of vendors who sponsor this site, and they have banners on the top of the pages. They pay money to advertise here, -- money that is used to provide this website for us. These sponsors/advertisers are provided with their own support forums, and a place to announce and market their products. It’s like a “commercial” on a TV show, they pay the bills, we show the message. They are encouraged to interact with the salon owners on this website.

NON-sponsoring vendors are ALSO WELCOME to interact, PROVIDED they DO NOT SPAM. Spamming on this website is hyping or soliciting business if you are NOT a sponsor/advertiser. If vendors want to interact with the discussions, WITHOUT hawking their products, then WELCOME. Otherwise, there are other websites for vendors who spam.

For Sponsors:

Spam rules do NOT apply to sponsors – they’re paying the bills.
You can post info and pictures of new products – send them to us, we’ll do it.
You can announce press releases – we encourage that
You can have contact information, your phone and email in EVERY posting.
You can encourage people to call you, or to check out this or that product.
You may use the Private Message {PM) function to take a deal private.
For NON-sponsors:

This applies to an agent, distributor, employee or an owner of a non sponsor vendor.
You may not solicit business by using the Private Message {PM) feature on this site.
You may not post phone number or contact information in any postings.
You may not say, “Mycompany is available to help you.”
You may not say, “Give us a call, we have alternatives blah blah blah

In summary, you may NOT promote your company, your products or solicit business IN ANY MANNER.

While we understand that many vendors or distributors are also salon owners, we don't believe it's possible to wear two hats. If you have a financial interest in a product or company, you may not post promotional info, or hype that company.

Non Sponsor companies who solicit business will be blocked from the website.

Vendors who solicit business with resources paid for by others is not fair to our sponsors who DO play by the rules, and it’s not fair to Tantalk.com. We appreciate your understanding and compliance with these rules.

After being warned once if you continue to spam you may longer be able to partcipate on this site.

Effective July 17, 2006 we will be enforcing a ZERO spam policy.
