Ohio Tanning Restrictions Pending!
ATTENTION OHIO TANNERS:

The Indoor Tanning Association and countless numbers of Ohio tanning salons are working to defeat a bill pending in Columbus that would have a severely negative impact on many Ohio indoor tanners . HB 230 would ban teens under the age of 18 from tanning indoors even with a parent's written permission!

This bill is an insult to parents throughout the state of Ohio. Not only is it an unnecessary intrusion of government into our private lives, but it suggests that the legislature knows more about raising children than parents.
Indoor tanning salons in Ohio are already strictly regulated by the FDA and the state board of cosmetology. In fact, Ohio state law already requires that teens under the age of 18 have a parent's signed permission.
Based on industry experiences in other states, we know that when business owners and citizens, who would be affected by such an unnecessary intrusion of government in their daily lives, let the legislature know they are adamantly opposed to the bill, we can stop it.
