Do you consider yourself to be self employed or a business owner?

I've just got done reading rich dad & poor dad Quadrant. I'm wondering if most salon owners here consider themselves to be self employed or business owners.

Also how did you guys gain your capital if you don't mind sharing.

Re: Do you consider yourself to be self employed or a business owner?

I don't think there is much disparity between self employed and being a business owner -- perhaps you should consider the scope of your parameters again?

^ I agree. For most of us, it's basically the same thing.

Re: Do you consider yourself to be self employed or a business owner?

I read the book a couple years ago. And while it does seem like an infomercial at times, the book asks some interesting questions. Like, do you work for your money or does your money work for you?

Muffin, I can't remember the difference between self-employed and business owner. Maybe you can post it.

If you are self employed, don't you own your business?

Re: Do you consider yourself to be self employed or a business owner?

Not always. You can be self employed and work for a company. I think you might be a contractor? Also in direct sales, ie, tupperware, Arbonne, etc you are considered self employed but you don't own the company.

Re: Do you consider yourself to be self employed or a business owner?

An self employed person "is" the business system. The harder he works the more money he makes, but a business owner can leave his business running for a year by itself, and it would of grown much bigger then before without any effort.
