Re: quite literally @ WAR with other salon! haha

I guess that would be why, I didn't go there. But it wasn't listed on the directory and I couldn't even find a listening in the phone book.

Re: quite literally @ WAR with other salon! haha

My salon wasnt listed this year because we are under the umbrella of GOLD'S GYM. Since they are the tenant of the mall, we were not, so mall administration did not put us in the map. They know now for 2008.

Maybe when your in WEM next year, look for the 40,000 square foot GOLDS GYM. :)

Ya I dont tan much, too busy most of the time. :) Dont take many photos either, not the ditzy girl that needs to be in the camera every time. :) That and my mother DOES have skin cancer.

Just look me up on facebook.

Dakota, Theres a real post! Your doing the numbers I want to do, fantastic, if your cost of goods sold and operating costs are similar to mine, I tip my hat to you my friend, and would love ANY advice you have. I know I slammed the ditzy girl thing, and I know it offends everyone when I say it. But cant we remember that every so often theres a bunch of comments made about negativity. And 90% of the posts on here are COMPLAINING about the numbers, customers, slow sales, over saturation, fear of franchises moving in, losing sales to diversion and so on and so forth? Im not going to take these posters seriously, should I? If I want to go somewhere, I should ask those who are there, how to get there. Every flame I get from someone, who in another thread, is complaining about the aformentioned circumstances, and isnt coming up with real solutions, but is participating in some daily ritual of group cuddling by saying "dont worry, Im down this year too", Im not going to take that criticism realistically. Now if DakotaFL has those numbers, and the margins that dictate similar costs, I would take his ADVICE as serious as a heart attack.

DanD, no, $90 000 a month should be good.

We have a website, www.goldsgymedmonton.com with a very small blurb on tanning. We do most of our internet promotion through facebook, and I am getting far better results from it than golds is with their website. And its more cost effective, in fact, the owner of golds gym is actually stepping away from his franchise manual and looking at the possible benefits of facebook groups.

Now granted my posts arent always perfect, and yes you can dig into them and find every little discretion or point to call me on, or take offense on. But take my posts for what they are meant to be. Logical Responses to explain what it is I do, and defend myself a little bit because lets face it. I get publicly slammed every day here, and then I get PM's with people saying nice things, and congratulatory responses regarding my out of the box thinking. And the only reccomendation is dont come on to the people in the forum too strong. Or they say that I may not make friends with my tactics, but I will make money. Stuff like that. So noones even willing to back me up on here, only in private, because theyre afraid of the vultures? I dont know. But for some reason thats the way it is.

Next :)

Haha! How mature, someone has put "Im a ditzy ex-stripper" under my name. Thats awesome, haha, THESE are the people I should be taking hints from?

Nananaboo boo... sticks and stones may break my bones, but names will never hurt me. :) I havent had to bust that one out in like 15 years.
