PS: your making it personal. Competition is about business.

Even when one of my tanners roamed over there and they were saying some horrible things about me, I just responded "oh well, guess they have never been here." I don’t even shop them so they don’t think I am trying to start something. I figure I have been here for 8 years it will all work out. I have had my tanners that ventured off for a bit over there come back to me since they could not handle the negative attitude they had towards other salons. Be careful, there are always a million reasons one can get sued. In your story alone there is harassment, video taping/recording without permission, trespassing, libel. If the other salon wanted to stoop to your level they would could sue you and own your salon also...at least take a large portion of your money and make you go under. If you are so great, why do you have to bribe your customers with trips? It does not seem cost effective to do that. I would spend my marketing budget on just getting my name out there in a positive way and stop using all my energy towards trying to damage another salons reputation. It just makes you look catty and unprofessional. Just my honest opinion. |

I mean let's face it, business is "war" in a sense, and those who fail to recognize that early on do not always succeed to the levels they could have otherwise. Of course nobody wants their competition fishing for their customers in their own parking lots - but it only makes sense if you want to make sure the "right" people see your ads.

Rep Power: 0 | Re: quite literally @ WAR with other salon! haha If I was one of their employees I would sign up for the sign on bonus and learn what you are doing then quit and go back my old salon, taking my sweet sign on bonus. Heck if you were closer I would take you up on the sign on bonus. Wait, doesnt war require two parties actively participating? |
