Question Quickbooks and Helios

Does anyone use QB and Helios? HOW do you input your sales receipt into QB, do you manually input each one and if so what report do you print to get all the info. There has to be an easier way, I would think. Also Helios does not track credit card type, do you not enter that info into QB's?
Thanks for ANY help.

Re: Quickbooks and Helios

We don't use helios, but I use QB and suntouch.

We batch daily sales and break it down by products, services and upgrade fees. Any more detailed information that I want comes from Suntouch reports rather than QB.

Re: Quickbooks and Helios

I use both. In Quickbooks I keep it faily simple by just having "income" broke down by EFT, cash/checks and credit/debit cards. "cost of goods" for us is lamps, lotions and accessories. Everything else falls into "expenses".

I use Helios Backoffice for any reports I may want to view.

Re: Quickbooks and Helios

I use QB to put my daily sheets in. Go to customers, then sales receipts, enter your date, then put cash, check, or credit. I do one sheet for each. I print out my daily sales sheets from Helios so my detail is there but i enter it into QB to have my accounts correct. If you have any other questions, I can help you.

Re: Quickbooks and Helios

Thanks guys.
I mean when you enter your sales receipts into QB for the day, what report do you pull in Helios? The Daily Sales? You get the detail from that but your missing check #'s if customer pd by check and also you dont know what type of Credit Card they paid by, do you Not enter that into QB?
Thanks again for any help

Re: Quickbooks and Helios

I only put into Quickbooks the items that my accountant needs and what I need to keep track of the health of my company. Anything else is what a good POS system does. Keep it simple and you'll enjoy life much better. JMO

Re: Quickbooks and Helios

I print out the daily sales from Helios and keep that in files. I do not put check #s in QB. I keep it simple---cash for the day, credit for the day, checks for the day and enter an amount for each.

I use Quickbooks for banking, payroll and paying bills. That's all you need.
