Planet Beach Spa?? - tanTALK

Have any Planet Beach owners have upgraded to the spa?? And is it worth it financially?

You know the word SPA means a place that provides water treatments.
1. A resort providing therapeutic baths.
2. A resort area having mineral springs.
3. A fashionable hotel or resort.
4. A health spa.
5. A tub for relaxation or invigoration, usually including a device for raising whirlpools in the water.

Spa is a cliche anymore. It has lost its meaning. Seriously, how can one upgrade to a 'spa' without just becoming part of a tired recycling of a word that really dosen't describe what you are really doing? Unless you are upgrading your plumbing to offer SPA treatments.

It is worth it to the franchisees of course, but that is another can of worms.

We purchased a converted Planet Beach about 4 months ago. Technically you need two SPA equipment to be SPA compliant and Mystic Tan is considered a SPA equipment. When we bought ours it had a Mysitic and the Hydration Station. We have now added Hydro Massage bed, Cyber Relax Massage Chair, Uma Hands and Uma Facial. Our clients love the Hydration Station and ofcourse Mystic is a must have, which you probably have anyway. However, business for the rest of SPA equipment has been slow. My rcommendation is to convert and get at least the Hydration Station. You just gotta have some good sales people to be able to sell that service.

I own a Planet Beach Contempo Spa and it definitely has paid off. We have opened up our business to a whole new demographic and brought in a lot more revenue than if we were a tanning salon.

In another thread you just posted on you said you only owned a hair salon with 2 beds. Which is it?
