So Neon, the correct answer to this is a HP bed provides higher amounts of UVA (bronzing rays) and lower amounts of UVB (redding rays). You will develop your base tan quicker and there is less maintance on maintaing your tan. Therefore, everyone needs to try a HP bed out!!

Rep Power: 20 | Re: The Benefits of HP Tanning Here's a clip from an article: High pressure tanning is a modern tanning technology. High pressure tanning beds provide the ultimate tanning experience for all skin types. High pressure tanning beds produce ultraviolet A which is the main tanning light ray. High pressure tanning beds do not utilize the harmful UVB rays. Most high pressure tanning beds have ultraviolet filtering system, which blocks UVB rays almost totally. Instead of the phosphor coated tube lamps, high pressure tanning beds use ultraviolet light quartz lamps attached behind expensive filter glass. These allow only a specific wavelength of ultraviolet rays to pass through the tanner. The gases in the quartz lamp are a little bit above atmospheric pressure, while the gases in the tanning tubes of conventional tanning beds are below atmospheric pressure. A second filtering system of the high pressure tanning beds removes a great amount of the infrared spectrum. Another major feature that makes high pressure tanning beds more attractive is the lesser amount of time required to establish and maintain a good base tan. Usually high pressure tanning beds take only 3 to 5 sessions for establishing a base tan. If you are using a high pressure tanning bed, there is no need of tanning twice a week. Tanning is needed only two or three times a month. Most high pressure beds available are 180 degree high pressure beds.

Otherwise just using the HP only, you're going to hit a plateau very quickly. Last edited by UltimateTanSJ; 03-07-2007 at 06:36 PM. |

We have the Magic and most of our customers that use it, never use anything else. Now is it going to get you black like some people like to get? You know the ones that no matter how dark they are, it is never dark enough. No, the tan is different, but the customer that uses it usually stays with it. I have only had 2 customers that asked to move their package back to the vhr beds. ____________________:glasses: | |
